It’s still Summer ya’ll and I’m showin’ off dem legs! This is one of my very favorite dresses. The detailing of the layered material mixed with the lovely white collar and sleeves make it an extra special thrifted find. The cute little boots, which were brown, I actually spray-painted bronze for an ensemble I wore on my 30th birthday. They turned out pretty good and are super fun to wear with most anything.
Also featured this week is my very favorite four-legged gal pal, Maddie. Seriously, I love her so much and I can’t believe how much happiness she adds to my life. We adopted Maddie in January of 2014. She was 2 years old and had been found wandering the streets of Elko, Nevada before being taken in by Animal Control to soon be euthanized (apparently Nevada is a high-kill State meaning they have so many dogs in shelters that they are quick to put them under). Luckily, the amazing folks at Angel Paws Pet Rescue paid to have Maddie, along with 15 other dogs, flown to Seattle to be adopted by loving families. If you are in the Seattle area and are looking for a dog, please check out Angel Paws!
The Specs/Featured Thrift Store
- Vintage Inspired Dress- Buffalo Exchange, Haight-Ashbury San Francisco
- Leather Ankle Boots- Georgetown Trailer Park Mall, Seattle, WA
The Georgetown Trailer Park Mall is a must-see for anyone living in or visiting Seattle. On any given weekend, there are about 6 cute-as-a-button trailers full of vintage clothing and other treasures at pretty decent prices. There’s one trailer full of rad vintage dining and kitchenware (Pyrex heaven!) that I just adore. The Georgetown neighborhood has tons of other great places to explore too, so make an afternoon of it!
